What do you mean by "A free Internet connection" ?
 
 

The Internet connection is FREE of use and provided free of charge by Yackeroo.com. Yackeroo.com will not charge you for the use of it's dial up or the time you are connected.

However, in order to connect to our system, you make a local connection from your telephone line to the nearest central which is controlled by Telefonica. As you will understand, Telefonica will charge you a local call charge for the time you are connected. Telefonica is the biggest telephone provider in Spain so the local call cost for the time you are connected will be the cheapest available. Please view our next section for more detailed information on prices.

How much does it cost to Telefonica in order to connect to your system ?
 
 

In order to make sure that you have the local and cheapest call, you must ensure that you are dialing the following telephone number: 901929200

If you connect via the above number, Telefonica will charge you a local call cost as follows:

Normal Rate: From Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00 hours.
Reduced Rate: From Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 08:00 hours. Weekends and holidays are 24 hours are low rate.

(so if you connect for 10 min the charge will be 1.44 euros / 60 x 10 min = 0.24 euros).

The low rate is approximate. 0.60€ euros for 1 hour of Internet connection use; charged by minute.

This will appear on your existing Telefonica monthly bill just like any other ordinary phone call.

Can I use your service using a mobile phone ?
 
 

Yes, this is possible.

Their are several ways to connect via your mobile phone. A simple way would be for example using a normal Nokia phone which interacts with your laptop via either USB, Infared or Bluetooth. Once you ensure the interaction between both units (mobile and laptop) via the above methods, setup is done very simple. Just create a normal ordinary dial up GSM connection. When the assistant asks you to select your desired modem, choose the mobile modem option. Depending on which type of phone you are using, the name may vary. Our connection is supported up to GSM speeds of 92V.

Please note that our connection does not support GPRS.

I already have an Internet connection with another ISP. Can I still use your service ?
 
 

Yes, ofcourse. As long as you have a normal analog modem in your computer you can use our service. Both Windows and Apple have a user friendly interface which will allow you to manage and create multiple connections on your computer. All you have to do is to configure it. Once its configured you can choose your desired connection to connect with.

Can I use your connection in Spain and the United Kingdom ?
 
 

Yes. Our network is represented in both countries. The only thing to do is to change your local telephone number depending on whether you are in Spain or in the UK.

If you are in Spain, make sure you are dialing 901929200.
If you are in the UK, make sure to dial 147008456041251 or 08456041251

I cannot get a dial tone. What can I do ?
 
 

Check your modem properties, dialing rules and location settings. Windows users can find the above options in the control panel and then by going to phone and modem options. Apple users will find these settings under the system preferences option. Also check that the box "Use dialing rules" is NOT ticked in the connection properties panel.

  Your server has disactivated my account. What should I do ?  
     
 

Their are several things that can cause this problem. First of all review the below list and check whether some of the below are affirmative.

If you did not use our free dial up connection either in Spain or in the UK when checking your email via your favourite email program such as Outlook Express or Incredimail.
   
 

Solution: Make sure you reinstate our free connection again. Once you have done this, visit the below page to request your account to be activated again. Alternatively you can also upgrade to a premium email account and avoid the reactivation process.

If you are the owner of a premium account, could it be that your account is expired ?
   
  Solution: If your account has expired, visit our renewal page at:

If you are aware of the sending of lots of bulk emails, newsletters or mailing lists via your free email account.
   
 
Suggestion: This could be a problem. Yackeroo does not really like the above issue. We suggest that you contact our support desk, explain them your intentions so we can assist you further.
 
If you did not check your email in a maximum time period of 60 days.
   
 

Solution: Free email accounts have an autoexpiry option in case the user does not check his emails at least once every two months. If so, the server considers that the person is not using the email account and therefore eliminates the account.
